'Britains Got Talent's Craziest Auditions 2023

Britain’s Got Talent 2023 has successfully introduced a variety of acts, ranging from fascinating dances to impressive singing performances. Some apparently have managed to surprise both judges and audiences because of their unusual routines.
We compiled the best shocking and weird auditions in BGT this year. Let’s look back at these moments.
1. Tonikaku Naked Man
Tonikaku Yasumura is a Japanese jokester who successfully stunned the crowd with his hilarious poses. His audition consisted of fooling around on stage as a naked model, jumping and dancing before striking a positioned pose. From start to finish, Tonikaku’s weird but fun performance had viewers laughing.
2. Tia Connolly
Fifteen-year-old Tia Connolly went to Britain’s Got Talent thinking she’s there to support her mom Claire’s audition. Yet, without any warning, her mom announced that she’s giving up her audition for Tia. Soon after she mustered enough courage face the audience, Tia fascinated everyone with a powerful Whitney Houston cover.
3. Alisha Laidler
While Tia Connolly was preparing backstage, Alisha Laidler’s audition was played. Laidler, aged 18, performed “You Raise Me Up” by Josh Groban. While she received three yeses during audition, Simon Cowell described her act to be “a bit karaoke.”
4. Enzo Weyne
Coming into the competition with the objective to disturb minds, illusionist Enzon Weyne shocked the whole auditorium with his trick. After getting covered in a cloth on a chair, Weyne suddenly vanished and appeared on a stool. Then, when the audience thought he was explaining the secret behind the illusion, it turned out to be another mind-blowing appearance and disappearance.
5. Moaning Lisa
Believing she could win the show, 60-year-old Moaning Lisa stepped on stage while wearing a Mona Lisa costume. She sang “Shaddap You Face” by Joe Dolce, then getting buzzed by Simon Cowell and Bruno Tonioli. Funnily, Tonioli described Moaning Lisa’s performance to be one which could cause the King a heart attack.
6. Chicken Shed
A massive and inclusive theatre group, Chicken Shed is cast of 60 energetic and joyful singers. During their audition, they belted their rendition of “Wonder” by Naughty Boy. Moved by their performance, judge Alesha Dixon pressed her Golden Buzzer.
7. Accordion Ryan
During his audition, Ryan Simpson boldly stated that he believed he could win Britain’s Got Talent. He then performed “Low” by Flo Rida on the accordion, putting a twist to his act by dancing along the lyrics. Described as a “random by enjoyable” act, Accordion Ryan failed to pass the first stage of the competition.
8. Abi Carter-Simpson
Hailing from Essex, Abigail Carter-Simpson is a primary school teacher who auditioned as a singer and musician on BGT. During her performance, she sang a self-composed song containing comical yet realistic lyrics. Such awesome act made her advance to the next round.
9. Giorgio Riggio
Giorgio Riggio kicked off his audition by singing, making judges and audience think that he’s a singing act. Seconds later, Riggio was spinning a large pizza dough along with two others. This performance earned thumbs up from the judges, thus sending Riggio to the next round.
10. The Forbidden
The Forbidden are a burlesque group of men who introduced themselves as a magic act. In their audition, they asked Amanda Holden to pick a number between 1 to 5. After Holden chose 1, with the back of this number containing the word “Pony,” the group performed a burlesque routine to “Pony” by Ginuwine.
