Biography: Andrea Bocelli is an Italian tenor and multi-instrumentalist, known for his massive popular success and for the fact that he has been blind since age 12 when he suffered a brain hemorrhage after a football accident.

Bocelli first came to fame in 1994 when his performance of "Il mare calmo della sera" won at the 44th Sanremo Music Festival. Since then he has gone on to sell over 75 million records, including the 15 studio albums which he has released which vary between pop and classical music.
