Jane’s siblings are John J. Jack and Larry Curtin. She was the only daughter among the three children in her family. Larry lives in South Florida while John passed away in 2008.

Education

Jane received her early education at a catholic school, Convent of Sacred Heart, and graduated from Elmhurst Academy in Rhode Island in 1965. She got a two-year associate degree from Elizabeth Seton Junior College, New York City.

After that, she enrolled at Northeastern University in Boston but left in 1968 to pursue comedy as a career.

Career

She joined a comedy group known as The Proposition and performed with them until 1972.

Throughout the four years she stayed with the comedy group, she did improv comedy. She gained a vast amount of experience working alongside talented actors such as Fred Grandy and Josh Mostel.

In 1974, she co-wrote and starred in the off-Broadway play, ‘Pretzels’, along with Fred Grandy, John Forster and Judith Kahan.

Jane got married on April 2nd, 1975, to Patrick Francis Lynch. The two met at a hockey game. Lynch is a television producer. The couple has been blessed with one daughter, Tess Curtin Lynch, who was born On January 16th 1983.

Tess graduated from Brown University in 2005. She is an actress and comedy writer, and she is married to Peter Cellini, who is an actor. The couple is blessed with two children.
